One of the main sources of water damages to the hallways and neighboring units comes from AC units that lack preventative maintenance. To avoid being the cause of this issue, residents should:
1 - Replace the AC filter monthly.
2 - Drop bleach or tablets sold for cleaning your AC drain line and the water condensate drain pan monthly.
3 - Have an AC technician check your AC unit once a year to inspect ducts, filters, blower, and indoor coil for dirt and other obstructions.
